Imbibition by Raisins:-
Imbibition is the process of adsorption of water by substances without forming a solution. It is a physical process of diffusion . When raisins are placed in water, they absorb water. The movement of water into the cells of the raisins through their cell membranes continues until the cells become turgid. The percentage of water absorbed by the raisins due to imbibition can be measured by knowing the difference of their initial weight and final weight.

This video explains how to determine the percentage of water imbibed by raisins.
